Silk Purse, Sow's Ear is a small, independent jewellery studio based in Edinburgh, Scotland. They specialise in making unique, highly-personalized and sentimental engraved jewellery using good quality materials. They think up inventive and unusual ways for you to add meaning and charm to your jewellery and gifts, using inspiration from antique Victorian lockets, Art Deco, natural botanical designs and other treasured mementos and incorporate them into the designs. These great earrings are brass and feature a graduated art deco design. The tiny cubic zirconia jewels are cut into perfect rectangles. They remind us of classic Deco architecture, like the Chrysler building!
The classically cut fan shaped stone is also glass in a beautiful, cool toned French Navy shade. The earrings measure 40mm (an inch and a half) in length and have gold plated ear wires. The navy fan stone is designed to hang just below the earlobe.
