Pretty stylized bow earrings studded with glittering marcasites. The bow motif was very popular during the 1930s. These silver-plate earrings are clip on. Romantic curving lines and wonderful dark sparkle, these earrings are a nice example of the lovely costume jewelry of the era. The clips are marked "England" and "Kigu." Circa 1930.

Marcasite is a soft greyish-silver mineral which gained popularity in the late 19th Century and became one of the most popular gems of the Art Deco era. Marcasites are especially lovely set in silver, where their dark sparkle plays nicely with the metal.
