A beautiful pair of carved jade earrings from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! Crafted in sterling silver, each earring begins with a circular surmount, which features intricate wirework. The earrings then feature three jump rings, a small jade ball, and another three jump rings. The largest component of the earrings is a piece of carved jade, which represents a vegetable pod. The jade is a wonderful green hue, and features milky white marbling. The jade is topped by a sterling silver cap, which is represented by nine small balls. The earrings are completed by simple posts and friction backs. A wonderful pair, these earrings would be a great addition to any Art Deco-era jewelry collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 2 1/4" in total length. The carved jade drops measure 1 1/8" long, 3/8" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver setting or to the carved jade. The posts and friction backs are intact and in working order.
