Dated from mid-1800s, this is an antique M. J. Tobias Liverpool key wind open face pocket watch. The key is included.

Swiss movement, Swiss case, and with the name "M. J. Tobias Liverpool" on the dust cover, this is a Swiss pocket watch made for export, using the name "Tobias" as a marketing ploy. With a wide variety of quality and workmanship of watches from many different Swiss watch companies. 

Gold dial beautifully decorated engraved with two buildings beside a lake. The dial features gold Roman Numerals applied and dots as minute marks. The sub-second hand is located at 6 o'clock position, blue steel hands. 

Cased in a 45.4mm round YELLOW 18K case with gorgeous engraving on the back and sides, coin edge design as well. The back is beautifully decorated with engraved scene. Dimpled crystal.

We prefer to shoot photographs outside when weather is permitting. However, when we shoot indoors, please be aware that we shoot our photographs inside of lightboxes that are lit with 360 LED bulbs. This indeed magnifies any flaws. Usually, they are much less obvious to the naked eye. Having said that, we never photoshop any of our photography, remove blemishes, etc. We adjust the lighting, when necessary, but what you see is what you are getting, and we take pride in that. 

The condition is pre-owned.  
The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear but is fully operational and functions as intended.
